Our Mission:
"To support and elect candidates for public office who represent the values of individual liberty and
personal responsibility, and who will advance the cause of efficient and effective government on the
local, state and federal levels."
Formed in the wake of the terrible events of 9/11, the Rockaway Republicans are members of a
community of citizens who lost an inordinate number of their friends and loved ones in the attacks of
September 11th that destroyed the World Trade Center Towers.
The Rockaway Republicans, many of whom are former Democrats who switched their support to
the President Bush in light of the inappropriate partisanship of the Democratic leadership since 9/11,
believe that the President Bush has demonstrated steadfastness of character in his response to those
awful events, and that his policies of proactive and energetic pursuit of the terrorists, wherever they
are, have been correct and deserve our continued support.
